Aetheron Grande - White Oak Wine Glass Display

For those who see a wine glass not just as a vessel, but as a piece to be displayed — the Aetheron Grande turns glasses into a floating gesture of form and balance.

The Aetheron Grande is a single continuous ribbon of white oak, coaxed through a specially processed lumber technique into a rising spiral that appears to defy the rigidity of the wood it came from. Hand-fitted collars cradle wine glasses by the stem, suspending them in space along the twist. 

Each Aetheron is shaped, dried, and finished individually in a small artisan workshop located in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin. 

Aetheron Grande Details

• Freestanding helical form in solid white oak, holds 4 - 9" tall wine glasses by the stem
• Circular 10" diameter, 1.25" thick kiln-dried white oak base for stability
• Hand-sanded and finished with a durable hard-wax oil that protects the grain without masking it
• Approximately 44 - 46" tall
• Each piece is individually formed — natural variation in grain and curve is expected and part of its character

Materials & Process

The helix is shaped from specially processed white oak, engineered to handle the extreme bending required to form its spiral. After forming, each piece undergoes a controlled drying period before it's trimmed, sanded, and finished by hand. Because the process can't be rushed, production takes several weeks per piece.
