The Apeiron, a double helix wine rack is a handcrafted statement piece that reimagines wine storage through the art of extreme wood bending. Its patent-pending double helix design blends modern precision with traditional woodworking techniques, resulting in a stunning fusion of form and function.

Each rack is carefully shaped in a small workshop, where rigid timber is transformed into fluid spirals. This process ensures every piece is unique, serialized, and crafted with exceptional attention to detail—making it not just a wine rack, but a collectible work of art.

Due to demand and the time-intensive nature of our handmade process, please note there may be a waiting period of months before your wine rack is ready. To reserve your piece,  a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance will be collected once your rack is complete and ready to ship.

This is more than a wine rack—it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, a sculptural centerpiece, and a timeless addition to any space.

Laser Engraving Instructions

Products that may be laser engraved with a graphic will have a "Yes, laser engrave." check box under the Quantity box. 

When you check that box,

  1. Select the style of engraving you want on your products.
  2. Type the names you want laser engraved, one per line. The number of names should equal the quantity ordered.
  3. Include the date if the product includes one.

If you choose Custom Graphic, an additional Upload File will appear. Upload your graphic. 

The Custom Graphic charge is a one-time charge. If you want it used on additional products, do not select Custom Graphic.  Instead:

  • Do not check the "Yes, laser engrave." box.
  • After your order is placed, send an email to sales@technwood.com.
    • Include your name, order #, along with which graphic to use and the products to engrave.

All Tech -n- Wood products are made with quality hardwood species. Domestic species such as Ash, Cherry, Maple, Oak, Poplar and Walnut are locally sourced from southern Wisconsin mills. We then choose what we believe is the appropriate finish for the product.


Examples of what these woods look like:

Ash

   Ash is a light-toned hardwood known for its straight grain and subtle figuring. Its natural character features golden hues and a pronounced grain that offers a clean, organic aesthetic.

Cherry

 Cherry is a richly toned hardwood prized for its smooth grain and warm reddish-brown color that deepens naturally over time. Its fine texture and subtle figuring lend a refined elegance to any piece, making it a favorite for both contemporary and classic designs.

Maple

 Maple is a pale, fine-grained hardwood celebrated for its smooth texture and understated elegance. Its creamy white to light golden tones offer a clean, modern aesthetic, while the subtle grain patterns provide gentle visual interest.

Oak

 Oak is a classic hardwood known for its prominent grain and enduring strength. Its natural tones range from pale tan to warm honey, with a texture that adds depth and character to any surface.

Walnut

 Walnut is a dark, richly grained hardwood admired for its deep chocolate tones and elegant texture. Its bold figuring and smooth surface lend a sense of sophistication and warmth to any design.
