The Apeiron is known for its sculptural design and the extreme bending process required to achieve its signature double‑helix form. Each piece is handcrafted from premium white oak, shaped under intense pressure that pushes the material far beyond its natural tendencies. This creates the elegant, flowing silhouette that defines the Apeiron — but it also means the wood occasionally reveals its own will.
Our Apeiron — Artisan Seconds products are 100% structurally sound and fully functional, made from the same high‑quality materials as our flagship model, yet display minor cosmetic blemishes created during the bending process. These subtle marks highlight the natural beauty of the wood and the authentic struggle between its organic form and the extreme curves of the helix design.
Artisan Seconds are only sold if they are in inventory.

Laser Engraving Instructions
Products that may be laser engraved with a graphic will have a "Yes, laser engrave." check box under the Quantity box.
When you check that box,
- Select the style of engraving you want on your products.
- Type the names you want laser engraved, one per line. The number of names should equal the quantity ordered.
- Include the date if the product includes one.
If you choose Custom Graphic, an additional Upload File will appear. Upload your graphic.
The Custom Graphic charge is a one-time charge. If you want it used on additional products, do not select Custom Graphic. Instead:
- Do not check the "Yes, laser engrave." box.
- After your order is placed, send an email to sales@technwood.com.
- Include your name, order #, along with which graphic to use and the products to engrave.

- Products that are meant to come in contact with food or beverages are finished with Ultrapro Food Grade Mineral Oil. These products may also have a coat of Walrus Oil Wood Wax for Cutting Boards.
- Products not intended to come in contact with food are finished with Maker Brand Co Simple Finish, an oil based wood finish with wax sealer. These products may also have a coat of Walrus Oil Furniture Wax.
- The Apeiron wine holder is finished with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C and Rubio Monocoat SheenPlus if requested.
- The Oak Barrell Wine Cabinet is finished with Hope's 100% Pure Tung Oil.
- Custom Furniture pieces are finished with Rustic Lumber Furniture Oil and Rustic Lumber Gloss Hydrocoat, a ceramic coating to enhance water and scratch resistance.
- A few products use Promise Epoxy. Epoxy is a plastic. It is not recommended to use epoxy products as a cutting board. When products with epoxy are fully cured, they are considered food safe.
- Products that are painted may have a coat of WATCO Lacquer and sprayed with Rust-Oleum primer and paints.
